Closed circuit – no more annual confirmation for professional users

As of now, professional users of closed-circuit biocidal products no longer have to (re)confirm their status.

In previous years, the Biocides department sent a reminder to professional users for them to confirm their status at the end of the year. However, this annual confirmation entailed an administrative workload without much added value. For this reason, the compulsory, annual status confirmation for professional users has been abolished (see article 41, 3° of the Royal Decree of 4 April 2019 on Biocides).

The amending decree of 17 February 2023 has been published on 17 of  April. It has already entered into force.

From now on, the status of professional user will remain valid without the requirement for an annual confirmation. Companies ceasing their activities as professional users can report it via the helpdesk.
