Annual report on the Belgian biocidal products market 2022

Every year, the FPS of Public Health publishes general data on the Belgian biocidal products market. Data on 2022 are now available via an interactive tool.

The FPS has data on the annual quantities of biocidal products placed on the market, which the industry must report annually by 31 January. These data allow to monitor the quantities of biocidal products and active substances on the market. The updated report with data from 2018 to 2022 is now available online.

The annual report shows data on products and on active substances. The data can be consulted with graphs. The data can be viewed by group (disinfectants, preservatives, pesticides and other biocidal products), by product type, according to product distribution (closed/free circuit) or user category (general public/professional users).

The report does not include information on the temporary authorizations and registrations issued under the corona crisis. The temporary permissions and registrations no longer apply.
